Is your electricity tariff still the right one?
Tariffwise checks your real half-hourly usage against Agile and Flexible every day, and tells you in one sentence.
What it does
- One plain verdict. "Stay on Flexible", or "Agile would have saved you £8 in the last 30 days", worked out from your own meter readings, not averages.
- Cheap and peak at a glance. Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets show the next cheap window and the 16:00 to 21:30 peak.
- A daily score for your habits. Using power in cheap windows, avoiding the peak, and using less than your usual day. The score never mixes in money.
- Shared with the people you live with. Everyone in the household sees the same verdict on their own phone.
Reading the chart
- Cheap: a good time to run the dishwasher or washing machine.
- Ordinary.
- Peak, 16:00 to 21:30: the most expensive part of the day.
- The Flexible price, for comparison.
Each mark has its own shape as well as its own colour, so the chart still reads on the Lock Screen, in greyscale and for colour-blind eyes.
You stay in control
You connect on Octopus Energy's own page. Tariffwise never sees your password and can't change anything on your account. Disconnect in the app or in your Octopus account at any time. The privacy policy lists exactly what we read and how long we keep it.
Availability
Tariffwise is in private testing on iPhone. It isn't on the App Store yet.
